The poppy is a simple flower where the open flower provides a splash of bold colour, but the seed-heads and buds are equally attractive, if less attention-grabbing. These work well as a cluster. The tallest poppies seen here are about 65cm tall.
The strong colour is not any sort of surface coating; it is caused by heating the copper to particular temperatures and then quenching. The piece is then lacquered, excluding air, so that the colours will remain as you see them.
Flower, bud and seed-head are all priced at £65 each.
