Salutation opening

Salutation Gardens opening 2007

From a chance remark, I was invited to place some sculptures in The Salutation Gardens, Sandwich, for their opening in 2007 – much of the garden was still being replanted, and the bare mud of the island can be seen here, new turf struggling to establish itself. The relationship quickly developed and for ten years I enjoyed exhibiting here as Artist in Residence, watching as the garden became complete and matured, and rotating sculptures in and out during the seasons.

The crocodile seen here is an early piece, now rather tired and battered by life, and being lugged around the country to display. A new one would be £5,850
