I seem to be drawn to attempt sculptures of plants and flowers which require lots of really fiddly components. Each star-stem has to be built separately and then fused to the main stem. It’s not easy, and I don’t allow visitors in the workshop whilst I make these on account of the language.

I am happy with the delicate spindly seed-head contrasting with the ramrod stem and graceful leaves.

The ‘deep’ refers to the diameter of the flower head.
