The branchy oak sapling, decorated with a watchful robin. I have made two sizes of this, and the one photographed here is the smaller of the two, at 120cm tall; the larger one is 200cm. The leaves and the robin are lacquered, but not the trunk and branches, so that the contrast of colours will be enhanced as the sculpture ages.

It is secured into the ground using a steel rod, or a wooden plinth can be provided.
